Prado! Prado! Prado!
So Meghan B's friends are visiting this week and she's trying to show them around Madrid. It turns out, there is a HUGE amount of stuff that I have yet to see. Such as......
Banco de Espana
We finally went to the Prado today, even though it was just a quick overview, it was well worth it. I will most definitely go back and really take my time to see everything, but I didn't want to bore anyone too much this time. I could spend all day.Sculpture outside of the Prado of Goya
We saw all of the most famous works, but I also saw some of my favorites.
Hieronymus Bosch "El Bosco" Garden of Earthly Delights
Rogier van der Weyden's The Deposition
Goya's El Quitasol
I didn't take too many pictures in the museum because you can't use flash and I figured the rest of them I could find at much better quality online.
Anyway, after the museum, we went to buy bus tickets for next weekend to go to Barcelona. I'm so excited. I think we might just stay here again this weekend. We were going to go to Valencia for another festival, but it looks like rain at this point and I'd prefer not to have another Cadiz- much rain and nowhere to sleep. I would like to go up and see Toledo for the day, seeing we have off on Monday. My allergies are getting bad- which on one side, stinks...but the other...it's spring!!
