Last night was the first night of official fiesta-ing. We first went to a little pizzeria and had some drinks, then off to a club called EGO...as in Lego my Ego. It was a very nice place owned by the director's son, Pedro who had invited us all out. I'm not sure, but from what I understood last night, Martini's here are straight Vermouth...which I had for the first time last night and may I say was delicious. Anyway, we headed back a little early because we didn't want to have to take a taxi since our Metro line stops running about 1:30. Matt and I got to ring in our 10-month anniversary with a lovely evening.
And finally I got the internet to work here and apparently I do have a converter for my computer plug that will make it not smell like smoke. So hopefully this will be the start of some actual photos and updates. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed though.

Following the signs...

Today after class we went back to el Parque Retiro again to walk around and take in a little sun. It was so nice and warm today...not that it hasn't been beautiful everyday since I've been here...

One of the garden's at Retiro....so pretty.
We took a little siesta on one of the walls on Tuesday.

Posing by a tree. These trees look like cartoons...like something out of the Lion King.

This one is from Sunday, but it's at Retiro too. There's a big lake in front of this statue.

A funky little gargoyle in a fountain.

"The" Shot

A cute little pond in Retiro

Here are some other pictures that I didn't get to upload before

Well tomorrow we're leaving for Sevilla/Cordoba at 8Am...so early. Not to mention the fact that we didn't get in 'til about 3 this morning and had to get up and out by 8:30 this morning. No time for sleeping. I haven't seen my Senora since Tuesday night...and probrably won't see her until Sunday night when I get back. Conflicting schedules and no clean jeans. She works crazy hours and I've been out a lot. Also, we tend to finish dinner at about 11:30, which is pretty much my bed time, so I don't get to see her too often. She's out for dinner tonight...which is a new concept for me...seeing it's now 1AM and she still isn't back. I've been having bonding time with the twins though. Tonight Julian and I watched this comedy series about "Tanto" cops. I must say, I laughed pretty hard considering I couldn't understand half of the dialog.
When I came back from the park the boys told me someone stopped by for me. There is another girl from Marist that just got in today. She had been here last semester, went home for about six weeks and is back again, living actually directly above me. Supposedly we can yell out the window to eachother.
I will post again upon my return. Have a good weekend!
